Look, I know not everyone is into the whole superhero genre, (and there are many people with wrong opinions about underrated masterpieces whose true potential will be revealed following the release of the future films in the franchise (I’m talking about Batman vs Superman)), but please stick with me on this.
This week Entertainment Weekly did a favour for all of us who care about superhero films and released some pics from the set of the latest movie in the Thor franchise.

The plot if Thor: Ragnarok is going to be a busy one, with Bruce Banner/The Hulk making his way onto the screen, with also an appearance by Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange.
Thor while investigating the mysteries of the universe, which is where we last saw him in Avengers: Age of Ultron, somehow is forced to compete in some outer space gladiator death match competition.
So you can expect a lot of great fight scenes, and going by the pictures released by EW, it’s going to be one bright and colourful affair.
The film has New Zealand’s 2016 Person if the Year, Taika Waititi, at the helm to steer the good ship Ragnarok, which has many people (namely, me) excited.
Following massive success with his latest comedy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, it’s bound to be interesting to see how Waititi takes his unique style into such a huge blockbuster format.
But back to the pictures.
With the first look at what will be in the movie, EW provided us with a lot of food for thought.
For example: apparently Jeff Goldblum is in it as The Grandmaster.
Among the pictures, we learn that Thor has taken a haircut, and that he teams up with Valkyrie played by Tessa Thompson who you may recognise from Creed.
We also see a snap of the role Cate Blanchett taking on the role of Hela, the godess of the underworld.

This will probably be one of the more entertaining Marvel Cinematic Universe movies so far, with colour and comedy at the forefront of this no doubt action packed finale to the Thor franchise.
There will definitely be more to come, and I would recommend keeping an eye out for the teaser trailer which is no doubt on its way.
